Thammasat, one of the oldest universities in Thailand, is one of the country’s leading institutions of higher education and research. Established in 1934, the university was originally named “The University of Moral and Political Sciences”.
Over 85 years, Thammasat University has evolved from an open university for law and politics to an international research university offering academic degrees at all levels across a broad spectrum of disciplines.
Entering into its 84th year, Thammasat University continues to innovate in response to the changing world and is aware that its duty is not only to produce graduates but also to groom “next-generation leaders for Thailand and international communities” while raising the university’s international profile.
